SO...it is two fifteen in the morning and I am sitting in Kelly's room...Ben is flailing around on the floor, quite intoxicated if you ask me...we're not to sure what to do with him....Kelly wants to sleep...which is totally understandable...as she has a 8:30 class...as for me, I have to finish my Astronomy assignment...however..I don't have a class until 2:30 this afternoon...in 12 hours so I am still doing alright...hrm...what to do...what to do... lalalalalalalala...

at least this is a better situation from the last time we were in Kelly's room...when she was the drunken one...now that was not a pretty picture.....

we went to the beach...that was interesting...there was lots of...sand..and water...and other such things...then we walked back here..and this is where we are now...here...in Kelly's room...appearently I am a dirty pirate hooker...and Kelly is a purple doorknob...if only essay writing was this easy...

Ok FINE...due to peer pressure I got a livejournal account...:D

Sitting here...avoiding Astronomy...went on to Amazon.ca to write a review for OLP's "Healthy in Paranoid Times" and now I am going on an OLP kick...I've got Naveed blasting from my stereo..It has been WAY to long since I listened to this CD...so then of course I had to go and write a review for that CD too...I'll post bot reviews because I know some of you (not most of you) will be interested...

Healthy in Paranoid Times:
When this CD came out I went out and got it right away.. I'll admit, it IS different, it is NOT "the old OLP" but it is still a great CD. The first time I listened to it I wasn’t so sure about it….now I love this CD. My favourite tracks are “Will the Future Blame Us?”, “Picture”, “Boy” (LOVE this song, and yes, it is a bit U2-esque, but U2 is an awesome band), and “The World On a String”. I didn’t really like “Don’t Stop” at first but I am starting to really like it now but I still don’t really care for “Apology”. “Al Gemina” is a beautiful song….I am getting a little sick of “Where Are You” but that is because I hear it on the radio ALL the time….once it dies off of the radio a bit I’ll probably like it again. I really like how Duncan and Jeremy have mixed it up a bit and how we get to hear Steve play electric and acoustic guitar. I’m listening to the CD right now and falling more in love with it by the second! I think what happened with “Gravity” that made people not like it was that they were expecting what they were used to from OLP and then they didn’t get it. I’ll admit, that record isn’t my favourite OLP disc, but you have to take it with a grain of salt and move on…it was just OLP trying something new, and obviously, they have done it again (with a little more success) on H.I.P.T. To the people who decided that after Gravity the “weren’t fans” anymore I have one message, THINGS CHANGE, get over it. Kudos to OLP for exploring with their music…it is what I expect from them. Anyway, back to this record, I’d like to quote Lauren’s review:
“Speaking of Raine, it seems he has learned to sing, and yet maintains his token falsetto. It works. Duncan and Jeremy deliver bass and drums lines that are interesting, a departure from the steady 2/4 of the last album.” If you are an OLP fan, go buy the record, but LISTEN to it a few times before you develop an opinion about it…
P.S. If you ever get to see these guys in concert, they are AMAZING!

I just wrote a review for Healthy in Paranoid Times...then I went and put on "Naveed"...I haven't listened to this cd in SO LONG...I had forgotton how much Jeremy ROCKS on this cd...literally..he ROCKS...especially when he goes crazy at the end of "TheBirdman"..I just had to share that with the world...this CD gives me a music high...yes...a musical high...lol...This CD rocks my socks...

Anyway, that is that..back to Astronomy...
